EMIC × Capital Region BOCES — Expanding Life Safety Training Across the Capital Region

At Emergency Medical Instruction & Consulting (EMIC), our mission has always been clear: equip individuals and organizations with the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills needed to respond effectively in emergencies. Today, we are proud to announce a strategic partnership with Capital Region BOCES to expand access to high-quality First Aid, CPR, and life safety training across the region.

Why This Partnership Matters

Educational environments are dynamic, fast-paced, and often unpredictable. Whether in classrooms, technical training centers, or community programs, staff and students may be the first on scene during a medical emergency. Immediate, competent intervention can mean the difference between life and death.

Through this partnership, EMIC will support Capital Region BOCES in building a more resilient and prepared workforce by providing:

• American Heart Association (AHA)-aligned CPR and First Aid certification courses
• Hands-on, scenario-based training rooted in real-world emergency response
• Flexible delivery models, including on-site and virtual lecture formats with practical skill validation
• Ongoing access to advanced training opportunities, including bleeding control, opioid overdose response, and situational awareness
